Usage.
Try onion soup or onion chutney. Often used to add flavour and is the first in the pan before the meat. Also used in salad, soups and any savoury dish.
I even found recipes for cooked onion ice cream! Didn't try it though...
Medicinal Powers?
They are high in Vitamin C, Vitamin B6 and folic acid and are a very good source of dietary fibre.
Eating onions increases sperm counts.
Eating onions is a diuretic and will help cleanse the bladder. Should also reduce fluid retention.
Soaking chopped onions in water and then drinking the water is a natural intestinal worm killer.
Eat in moderation or it will cause headaches.
