|This is a blend of dried yellow split peas, green split peas, great northern beans, red lentils, chick peas, red kidney beans and black eye beans.
Soak at 4C for about 10 hours in fresh water, drain and rinse. Cook for about 45 minutes on a low heat and then boil for about 10 minutes. drain and rinse. Great as a starter for soup when added with stock and fresh vegetables. Can also used in making a salad.

Pre soaking legumes breaks down indigestible carbohydrates which leech into the water. Draining after soaking and replacing with fresh water reduces undesirable consequences.
