Piri Piri is the spelling of the name as used in in English speaking countries In Portugal they call it Peri Peri. It means Pepper Pepper. The Piri Piri Sauce that comes from there means double strength.  Moreover, in South Africa and in some parts of India, they use "peri peri" to describe chillies.

Some of the varieties of birdseye chilli used in Piri Piri sauce measure up to 175,000 Scoville heat units! That's HOT! A Jalapeno has between 2,500 and 8,000 Scoville heat units.
